Tesla Does Thailand

New job postings from Tesla show that the EV maker is coming to Thailand.

On September 1st, jobs began going up on Tesla’s online job board, and at time of writing, the company has 16 separate openings in various departments.

This development continues Tesla’s manoeuvres into South Asia this year, with deals in Indonesia and talks with India, to name a couple. But these openings show that Tesla is likely getting ready to create an operational hub in Thailand.

In fact, Tesla reportedly registered Tesla (Thailand) Co., Ltd. back in April of 2022, and has an office in the country’s capital city, Bangkok.

All of the jobs are some form of administrator, specialist, advisor, or recruiter; so it’s pretty clear Tesla intends this to be the team that builds their presence in Thailand.

But considering the company doesn’t currently have any infrastructure in Thailand, they will still have a way to go before thinking of building something like a production facility.
